What an excellent day it was for meandering through the beautiful English countryside. A bit chilly to start with but we soon had to start stripping off layers! Running repairs on both legs of the journey just made it more enjoyable...
Good to meet up with old friends, albeit briefly. Who’s coming to Donington next weekend??

It was a great drive down in convoy with Bunny and the F Type. Shame I needed running repairs, but it's just part of the Morgan life style we pay all that money for 😉
Can't believe i got the prize for furthest travelled. Big thanks to the RAC man on Saturday evening for fixing me up a new throttle cable!!
Great to see a big 5 Speeder turn out from TM and meet old and new faces. The museum was interesting too!

WarBird, you missed some excitement on the return leg too. On the way back, Sue noticed that the F-Type exhaust was dangling a bit closer to the road than usual. We managed to get their attention and we all pulled over to the side of the road. Sure enough, the two gutter bolts that usually held the rear bracket in place had vanished. By some amazing piece of luck, we noticed that the house that we'd stopped at had a vintage Singer sports car and what looked like a Ford Model T on the front drive. Soon after knocking on their door, there was a swarm of helpful & enthusiastic mechanics of all ages working on the problem. John had to reject some of the replacement bolt candidates because they were too shiney for the trike! It turned out that the patriarch of the family & John (the F-Type driver) had several mutual aquantancies (both living and dead). Carlsberg don't do places to break down, but if they did....

Wow, amazing luck!!
All I got was the grass verge of a dual carriageway section of A6 and that piece of grass we pushed the Morgan onto at the top of the crest....oh, and a very determined RAC man and of course some experienced and innovative Morgan Three Wheeler owners on Sunday!
Happy memories!
