Trouble is that you must remove all trace of coatings for it to work, if not then where the coating is intact you get a possibly false negative and where there's remnants of coatings or damaged coatings you get possibly false positives. Also, if you use mechanical methods to remove the coatings such as wire brushes or grit blasting you can peen over any fine cracks which gives false negative results while producing a rough surface that will hold the dye and obscuring any crack indications that are there. I'd stick to close visual inspection with good lighting, a mirror and a magnifier.

Had word from the dealer MMC are fitting the new compensator in my new chassis. No indication of completion date.

Word from the dealer Morgan say my car is almost ready & they should road test this week. That's 8 weeks its been away. So hopefully another week I'll have it back.

As an employee at Isis Imports (Morgan Cars USA) in San Francisco, I am very sympathetic to this issue and am doing all I can to find a viable solution. And we are your closest Morgan dealer, however I believe the Morgan was purchased elsewhere? (Apologies if I am mistaken about this) Not that this would discourage us from wanting to help you...3 Wheelers are meant to be enjoyed - to have it sit unused makes me unhappy and I am so sorry this has been an issue for so many.

Still no further word from Morgan despite saying last week its nearly fixed. Nine weeks now its been away. What are they doing?
