British Cars 1952
I don't really know if this is of any interest... I was helping my father clear some of his garage out over the weekend and I chanced across a book called "British Cars 1952" by Peter Chambers. As you can probably imagine from the title, it's a lovely book with photographs, specs & prices for every British car produced in 1952. I wish I could buy a +4 for £880 today

Ahhh, so I have driven it! 1978 I think - was probably us (self and a Deck Cadet from Bristol off on a camping holiday) holding up other traffic! Will have to drive it in both directions now.
I've found Abe Books to be very good too...

I'm fairly lucky in that Hay-on Wye is within reasonably easy striking distance for me and I get to go over the Gospel Pass to get there which is a major bonus in the Morgan: www.panoramio.com/photo/2723807 That looks a gorgeous drive Gerwyn, and not a sheep in sight either!

that's almost as bad as the Nazi party in 1933, burning whole library's of books if they disagreed with the teachings of the 3rd Reich!  Was that man wearing a Brown shirt by any chance?  Yeh, it is a falry horrendous scenario isn't it. Actually, it wasn't really as bad as it sounds. The bookshop (one of that mad Richard Booth's) used to specialise in buying huge stocks of old books from public libraries, sight unseen. They would then sort out anything which had the remotest chance of sale and the rest went for pulping/ shredding until some bright spark reckoned they could sell them as fuel. It was a weird feeling- massive piles of old books all stamped "Remaindered from City of Liverpool Public Libraries" G

It's a great road for cycling too, though you will need a low gear. Last time I did it (in about 1983, from Abergavenny to Hereford IIRC) the old Llanthony priory had a real ale pub located within the ruins!
