Interesting three days motoring activities, Thursday - Aero Owners Drive and Lunch as reported above.

Friday - Boshly came over fairly early in his white Mac, parked it and we went out in my Plus 8 to look at cars and see whether the Ultima was ready for collection (it wasn't again!).
On our return, we decided to drive to Silverstone as there was a McLaren Track day, we had not paid to be part of this, but went anyway.

We were welcomed and talked to some very interesting people. We saw this car that had obviously been on the track, squashed fly's on the front:
We met the American owner and he has an amazing collection of cars, Ferrari California and 250SWB, etc, etc. Also Some Alfa's, including an 8C, but this
Villa d'Este by Touring is his favourite car out of his collection and this one photographed is his actual car.
I could go on but one last photo of a GT3, there was a GT3 race today, but this one has every car racing circuit in Europe hand-painted on it. Unique or what!
Got back home and took the Plus 8 out again for a hoon around some local roads,,,
Saturday (today): The Jagaur Enthusiasts Club had a parade through Windsor of 250 cars and then into the Castle. Over 750 other Jaguar's were parked on the Long Walk and there was some very interesting ones:
I know some of you will recognise this car as the fated Jaguar XJ13, beautiful isn't it, I spoke to one of the guys on the Jaguar Classic stand who brought it and he said that it is insured for £70 million as it was in fact priceless. Jaguar Classic rebuilt it and had a repro Jaguar XK SS for sale with an original chassis number (from the famous Jaguar fire) @ £1.2 million.
It made the similar "as new" rebuild of this ex USA E-type Series I @ £285,000 sound almost good value, certainly sounds cheaper than an Eagle rebuild, and that is the final price.
After looking at all the cars and talking to quite a few owners, Head Office - who accompanied me with our son and granddaughter, said she had had enough and so we walked home.

Took out the Plus 8 again for a long hoon (just under 100-miles) with a friend in his Porker and that brought to an end my 3-day motoring sojourn.
