I do recall the TG rental car in NZ episode and getting a lot of messages from folks asking if they knew what I was up to. It was probably not a total co-incidence wink

Thanks for the backing, folks, the new book is almost ready smile

Kindle editions of both of your books are now sat on my iPad ready for tomorrow's railway journey to darkest Croydon.

It wasn't me that viewed the cordless vacuum cleaner! But I did also buy Ray Celestin's latest, "Dead Man's Blues". If it's half as good as his first, "The Axeman's Jazz", it'll be a cracker.

I hope you enjoyed them! Now working on a third book, looking for a really creative illustrator that is 'on the same page' as me is proving difficult though!

Confessions from Quality Control book is selling really well on Amazon, I'm pleased to say smile

I've just bought the Rental Car one (took me 3 goes before my kindle admitted that it exists). Thanks for the heads-up on Ray Celestin Tim. I hadn't heard of him, I've bought those two as well.

They are absolutely brilliant, Giles. I'm sure you'll enjoy them. Great plots and characterisation, tied up with actual historical events in post-WWI New Orleans and roaring '20s Chicago. I can't wait for the next in the series, set in 1940's New York.

Thank you. Actually there are two on the go. One will be finished late next year and involves a Bentley and a bit of law-breaking. The other is a children's book, described by someone at Penguin as "very funny but possibly sexist" which I can't finish until I have a really good illustrator on board.

Thanks again for the kind comments, chaps!
