I want to change to the 2 eared spinner on my lowline body 4/4. The tyres are wider than on the "normal" 4/4, so the rims are deeper. Which tool for locking and unlocking the spinner do You recommend? Does a wooden spanner do the job or is the spinner too deep inside the rim?

Just a hide hammer but be careful! You'll probably break one of them plywood things the first time you hit it. There was a plywood thingy 'invented' for the Mog international, last year I think, as an innovation. I thought it was great and protected the spokes whilst hitting the spinner. Easily made at home, I'll see if I can find a pic...

Found pic, it's called SpokeSave. TM won't let me load image even when size reduced to a blur. Perhaps someone else can upload it, otherwise pm me and I'll email you the pic .

I have used one of those for a couple of years, works well but you need a long pry bar to get leverage.

Thanks guys for the ideas and proposals. I also found a tool at Oldtimer-tools.de https://www.oldtimertools.de/de/Fahrzeug...gan-BMH-42.htmlThe price is but I will try to use the idea as a start to design and build my own tool. I will cover the tool with hide at all areas in touch with the spinner to avoid scratches. Keep You informed. Thanks Brian for the pic, here it is for all as you requested.
Best regards from Austria

I have see this tool in the past but i am sure it will hurt the spinner wing it's why the recommend to use leather as it is an "universal" it's not the best choice (in my eyes) & better don't talk the price

Yes I have, never used it and as my AH has octagonal nuts it's surplus to requirements. PM me anyone with an offer!
