Just in reviewing what others have said it seems that it's more so the baffles and not necessarily the cat causing the issues.

With regard to the sound and volume. Grockle has a good bit of information and some video of sound comparison of stock vs AR stage one, which could give you a bit better of an idea.

Hmmm. Thanks GTG and Grockle. Spent last evening being entertained by Westmog. My son lives in Devon, maybe next time I am down I'll give you a shout.

Short term I think some home made indicator light shells on the mudguards will get me sorted and longer term the magnaflows welded in to the original pipes and a good polish will be in order.

Thanks for the pointer to blue removal Grockle, I am one of those lazy types but I do not think it looks better, I am just lazy when it comes to polishing but you have just changed my life ( a bit ).

I think the indicators on stalks above the headlamps were a result of Australian compliance requirements. To my eyes they don't look so good and I think a solution with the indicators on top of the mudguards would look better.

The whole exhaust header pipe routing is a problem on the M3W. If it is not melting the indicator shells it is hitting, or very close to, the bottom of the shocks on full bump. Remember Mario's problem with the Suplex front shocks before they were modified.

The indicators on top of the vintage Guide lamps look a lot like early VW Beetle indicators. I wonder if such could be fitted on the headlamp shells or front wings.
I have never had a problem with the stock indicators.
