Anyone who happens to be lying face up in the passenger footwell would immediately see that the car was protected by an immobiliser and would be deterred from trying to steal it!

In 2014 the factory told me that extending the wire was difficult but that they would be attending to it very shortly!

The LED is wired closely in the loom making Cat302's suggestion a probability

The LED is wired closely in the loom making Cat302's suggestion a probability Rather than cutting into the loom... Get some 3mm fibre optic cable, sleeve one end over the footwell LED and poke the other end into the empty dashboard lamp lens, having cut out the original dash bulb. Cheap as chips this fibre stuff, so you've wasted less than the cost of a pint if it doesn't work. ps - should have read your post trail more carefully, I see you had already thought of this.

Sadly it is just another example of MMC's can't be bothered attitude. They certainly have the style department intact, but Engineering and quality control departments don' t exist.

I don't quite follow the logic of your point here. It's a flashing LED that is under the dash rather than in it. Does it change it's use? No. Why does this affect quality control or engineering ?

The point being, the vehicle has an immobiliser, it also has a position provided on the dash to provide a visual of the existence one. It then should be the responsibility of the engineering dept. to provide capability to ensure it is where it should be. If it is not present then QC should reject and a correction should take place. I am a loyal fan of all things Morgan and greatly respect the Morgan brand. But does this mean i cannot comment on something which clearly wrong.

I drive & ride many things, and they have immobilisers that don't advertise their presence. I appreciate it's your point of view, but it's just that. Simply because things aren't to your liking doesn't mean it's "Clearly wrong" because they ain't.
