Don´t hesitate to PM me if i can help you further with some Malvern impressions...

A very warm welcome to Talk Morgan, Marian.

As has already been said, your car sounds stunning and I believe I have seen the colour on a beautiful vintage Mercedes near where I work. If it is the same colour, it is simply stunning - having a lot of warmth and depth to the paint.

Good choice. thumbs I thought that it was a good idea to have two of them, because one did not look right to me, but they are a pain. Water keeps collecting between them and after drying it leaves nasty stains.

"Morgasn" ... that's a good one laugh

shades - exactly, dear Ivo - that was why i ordered mine without them too (after having thought of ordering additional ones first)!

Better protect sills against scratches etc. by clear adhesive foils... slap

Hi all !

@Simon: I have PM'd you and yes this color does have a very warm tone and a lot of depth. It is called "dark-red-brown" and the color appears to vary depending on light although it is by no means a "modern" color. In twilight - and on all the pictures I have seen - it appears to be almost black. In full sunlight it has a very nice hint of bordeaux.

@Ivo: I went for the tread rubber delete after reading your comments about water getting trapped behind them. Having a forum like this proved already very helpful during my decision making.

@all: It is really hard to select a favorite from all the different color combinations presentend in the photo section. It is not only depending on personal choice, but also on the overall path that someone wants to pursue. These days many buyers prefer the rather "ratty" and very basic Sports look with black rims and painted dash. I'm also having a soft spot for the "classy" two-toned cars with bumpers and chromed wires. Then there are the "modernists" with flashy colors like orange and light green or the flat colors which seems to be fashionable at the moment. I'd take one of all of them - if only I could...

Marian
