I'm now on the hunt for a nice vintage Wanner. As advised here I want the one with 2 bleed screws.
Are seals etc still available for these as I imagine some have been lying around for ages. I take it also the model is 30955?
Thanks Sorry just seen this, I think the numbers have changed over the years but that seems the latest number. I have never needed to buy spares or parts as the things just keep working perfectly, and mine had all day garage use for the first 10 years! Stephens Lubricants are probably able to advise on spares as they still sell new Wanners, about £70 from memory. Don't worry about a little surface corrosion on the guns, it comes off with a wire brush and as they are inevitably covered in grease they stay OK, the alternative is to buy a new one and you can be sure it's going to be fine, they are not a kings ransom after all and you will never wear it out ;-).

Haven't used mine since the 80s when I used to fettle my cars myself. Now I have to grease the Mog king pins so the Wanner is now back in use ,working perfectly ,just as good as the day she was last used - Any TMers recomend grease in tins with the hole in middle, it used to be readily available SteveH and Harry

The Castrol should have the round disc with a hole sitting on top of the grease inside. Helps fill the Grease gun.

Whatever gun you buy, get one of these for it. No more yanking from side to side trying to get the thing off the nipple. http://www.alemlube.com.au/product/quick-release-grease-gun-coupler/

Uther - absolutely agree - this coupler saves all the hassle of getting the grease gun off the nipple in small spaces - expensive for what it is, but well worth it IMHO

or search for alemlube coupler on eBay plenty there.
I think the shop round the corner from me sells them even cheaper - around $35.00au each.
They are a god send and should be standard on every grease gun 😄
