What an appalling story, the death of young George Cheese, apprentice at Sytner Audi Reading, driven to suicide by appalling bullying behaviour from his so-called "superiors" at work.
It sounds like it went way beyond sending him for a long stand or left handed screw driver; he was covered in brake fluid, set alight, beaten and punched. I'd like to have thought that this sort of behaviour had died out 50 years ago.
Reading through the report from the coroners court, I was particularly disgusted by the apparent lack of remorse shown by the alleged perpetrators. I wouldn't want any of these people near my car. As to the management, they should hang their heads in shame that they allowed such goings on.

Totally agree.
I hope Audi themselves act on this. Absolutely no excuse for that behaviour.

Shocking.
This is the bunch I used to sort the problems I had on the RS6 where I had to escalate poor repairs. Went in for wheel shimey and warped brakes and came back with a vibration that was unsafe above 50mph.
There is also evidence of them putting a known dangerous car for sale on their forecourt after buying it back from a customer due to it being faulty.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

Unbelievable.
Bullying is never acceptable, horseplay or not. How can people admit to setting him on fire whilst in a cage to a Coroner in front of his family and still feel as if it was 'horseplay' is staggering.
Sytner Audi, you should be ashamed.

All persons responsible and of course the perpetrators should be ashamed - as should be all that looked away all that time.
What a tragedy for poor George and all his family.
And a tragedy which has happened so damned unnecessary too!

Audi should do something, the TV reports on BBC South all simply referred to'Audi' and never Sytner.
