Okay! First Cars ....not the first car you drove but the first car you owned! Mine was a 1973 Volkswagen Beetle - carnary yellow (not sure of the official colour name but it was dire!). The chrome was starting to give way to rust on the bumpers and hub caps AND the side steps had lost the battle long ago. It was a distant family hand-me-down but despite the colour, I was so happy to have a car and to gain the freedom that comes with it! Good memories! Ove to you guys?

An awful 1970's colored Datsun 510 for me. With steel wheels and rust on the wings; which was fine as the car was near enough rust brown. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" />

Ford Fiesta Classic 1.1. It was a run-out Mk3 model and as such had been made of various bits from the Ford parts bin. For instance, it had Mk5 Escort wing mirrors! And...it was bright red.

A Morgan ! What else would I buy. I had already bought her before I had even passed my Driving Test - 2nd Time lucky. Car was a '58 4/4 Side Valve non - runner, cost me GBP 15 -a months wages! 0 to 60? - never ever got to that speed except on 'Birdlip' going Downhill; nasty left Hander at the Bottom, as I subsequently discovered.
