The 4/4 "Speedster"
I thought you all might be interested in a couple of quick phone shots of the first sub £30k 4/4 to come out of the factory. Sorry about the quality.
Sports body, Ambla instead of leather for all surfaces, silver painted wheels.
It generated some positive interest with a couple of guys on my tour this afternoon to the extent that one of them has gone off to talk to his wife and then contact his local dealer. He was interested in a three wheeler but once he'd seen the 4/4 he changed his mind.

This grey one....the first, was then rebuilt as the first 4/4 80th Anniversary car, the Geneva Show car, which is owned by Martyn Webb the Company Archivist......hence the lack of side screen storage slot in the first cars.
They were built to order and my understanding is that the Oakmere one was the second built and no others were built. So it will be an unique car

Hi all- yep I met Martyn at the factory a few weeks ago when my wife and I were doing a tour there. He seemed quite pleased that the car was back at the factory and told me that he owned the grey car...and confirmed that mine is the only one that was built.
In answer to the question, we love it- never fails to bring a smile to my face in the little over a year of ownership. I have had a second screen fitted and a radio (done by Oakmere) and then a side exit sports exhaust at the factory later on. It hasn't done loads of miles (only 600!) and probably won't get many more as we are expecting our first child in a few months time.

A nice story Andrew, wishing you well with the baby let us know when the time comes, you are part of the TM family now . A picture of your car would be appreciated by all sometime as it is totally unique.

There is a how to in the welcome forum, at the moment due to a few problems with the photo galleries it is easiest to copy the IMG link from the likes of Photobucket straight into your normal post say in the Classic Morgan section.

great to see your car! I'm a bit jealous as it was the exact model I wanted, but was told by the factory I couldn't have, despite their advertising it! Still, I now have a nice 'standard' 4/4 which I'm enjoying immensely. Morgan really are a crazy company!

And two wing mirrors! Not a poverty model after all.
The doors do look nice without the side screen knobs (Oooh Matron).
