A late start this morning after a leisurely breakfast in Invergorden. Did our best to increace the local GDP with some shopping in Blair Athol.

Heading toward Perth on the A9 come the highlight of the day - my first ever sighting of a Morgan 3W on the road! light colour, cream or maybe tan, packed to the gunnels and pushing on well.

What a delight.

My Scottish tour starts shortly, in my 4/4 sport
I have been considering what to put in the toolbox.

So far it's as follows
Spare tyre (carried in my pal's car)
Wheel nut spanner and hammer
Red triangle and yellow jacket
Bottle of squirt
Some p-section draught excluder for stuffing into the gap above the windscreen when it rains on the motorway
2 no self inflating cushions for wedging beside the door catches as a draft/wet excluder
One of those useless multi-tools you can wear in a pouch on your belt
2 dishcloths for stuffing in the roof webbing to stop it snapping against the roof on the motorway
Sun barrier factor 30
Industrial earplugs

Any further suggestions? I suppose I'll need my grease gun as I'm going more than 200 miles

As it is a Scottish trip I would ditch the sun cream and replace it with midge repellent!

Thanks for the advice: going for Avon skin so soft and 'incognito' . Also sun screen and a big hat!

Is the jack in your pals car?
Take some kitchen roll or decent paper napkins and a couple of towels. And a cockpit cover if you have one.
I also carry bird sh*t remover and quick detailer with a couple of microfibre cloths. If you leave it, it can etch into the paint.
