I have used either LM or bearing grease. Regular greasing at 1000 miles max. No ill effects or kingpin play after nearly 30k miles. Hard chrome kingpin is fitted. I think the regular greasing is the key.

Cheers lads, the 2 main grease's named there are what I'd have gone for. I'll check with Oakmere and ask what they actually use too. I'm sure a lad there said a lithium grease is what they use but I'll double check.
I take it both top and bottom need doing at the same time too, any mileage in giving the bottom an extra dose once in a while as it's easier to get to? Are they both equally as needy after 1000 miles?
Also, I reckon if I get a flexi for the wanner it's looking like you can get over the tyre and on to the top nipple without jacking up, not done it yet so in practice I'm not 100% on that one.
Thanks again guys.

Get a flexible hose. The lower ones are more important.
