Recovering from surgery (can't drive for 6 weeks  ) I was dozing on the garden at c.13.55 today when I was awoken by the noise of a fast-approaching jet. Blow me down if it wasn't a MiG 15, passing over Leighton Buzzard flying west towards Aylesbury and, I guess, Oxfordshire. Did anyone else see it?

Seems it is part of the Norwegian Historical Flight only in the UK occasionally.

Peter - yes, you are right. This weekend sees the Weston Air Festival and Armed Forces Day, Weston-super-Mare. One of the participating aeroplanes is a Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-15UTi, as shown in the link you provided.
Amongst my collection of 50-odd die-cast model planes are three MiG 15s (Polish, Chinese & USAF - the theme of the collection is aircraft made by one country, but flown in the colours of a foreign airforce). So it's nice to have seen the genuine article flying.

I rather like that collection theme... it gives some interesting opportunities, especially if you are into re-finishing.
