Thanks guys, really looking forward to it and the cars already loaded. Head Office swmbo excelled herself and everything packed and ready ahead of time!

Quick turnaround on our return as we're going to Cape Town for 7/10 days, part-business, part pleasure. Lunch with the usual suspects Neil, I'll PM you some suggested dates.

Salon Prive held a Cars'n'coffee event on Sunday, at Blenheim.

A pro photographer snapped these clap

& the run from Salisbury to Blenheim is fun on a cool, clear Sunday morning. Not quite so much fun on the run back, when everybody's out & using the roads.

I have taken the Coupe into London today.

20-30 pics through the central london/west end trip and it is now hidden in the underground car park.

Lovely day and light traffic in town for a change.

Looks gorgeous Will, the colour certainly "pops!" love

Interesting how it appears to absorb the green of the vegetation in the second photo...

Glorious run from Salisbury to the "Leather Bottle"at Mattingly, near Hook, for lunch with a bike chum.

Tarka behaved perfectly, though the speedo is clearly wrong, showing some quite ridiculous velocities on the M3.
Why do I argue that the speedo is wrong?
How else could I have driven 95 miles on less than a quarter tank of fuel? That would be 32mpg and anyone knows that at 80 plus a Plus 8 uses more fuel than that, especially with the aircon on full!!

Great lunch, good company, brilliant car, glorious weather?
Perfect!

On the subject of inaccurate speedos, that raises an interesting point.. such emphasis is placed on a cars mileage nowadays. If the speed is running over by say 15% that would have a pretty noticeable affect on the odometer!

You raise an interesting point re the speedo.

Driving the Coupe home on the M4 last night showed a similar effect when it was not in car park mode. I am keeping pace with the traffic and the speedo is show a number well outside 70-80mph.

Yet I feel the speed is not above the normal 80 that the road tends to travel at in these times as reported by the MB in similar journeys. I often wondered how the Mog went so fast so quickly.

Ironically the Coupe also hit 30,000 miles on the trip. Its been a good year for the milage on the Coupe. I just need to show the S2 some more love.
