I decided this year to treat Nero to a factory service. I've used several dealers in the past for the annual service and always felt that the factory costed a tad too much.
Well....for the first time, the car feels tight and well put together having a full nut and bolt check. The brakes work so much better too! I'm converted!!

One thing they did pick up on....my alloy radiator fitted less than two years ago, has sprung a leak 😕 Not a happy bunny to say the least. I'll be taking that up with the dealer/supplier.....it's not Sifab in case anyone wonders!

And to defend the main manufacturer of aluminium radiators it's not a Mulfab one either is it, I remember you buying it Jay...and where you got it ;-)

Under EU law most products have a 2 year guarantee. I don't know if that applies to parts fitted to cars.

In any case under Sale of Goods Act 1979 (amended):

Goods must conform to contract in so much as:

(a) fitness for all the purposes for which goods of the kind in question are commonly supplied,
(b) appearance and finish,
(c) freedom from minor defects,
(d) safety, and
(e) durability.

Less than 2 years for a radiator that one would expect to last as much as 20 years does not seem to comply with (e).

Tough luck Mr S.
Makes me quite glad that Williams never bothered to get back to me, when I spoke to them about fitting a new radiator to my 4/4.

ps Have you got the Minilites fitted?

Minilites not yet fitted Mr B. Just got a 195/65/15 tyre from Blackcircles and when I'm back down home this weekend I'll get it fitted and try out for size etc.
Should get them all on by end of next week 🤓

The radiator is under warranty so that helps. Just the issue of can I put Radweld in if needs be!!

There is another option. Many, many years ago my Dad had a customer who had an old flatbed lorry that had sprung a leak in the radiator. He used to bung a handful of cow muck into the radiator every morning and that got him through the day!

I've no idea how long that lasted before the 'sh*t hit the fan', so to speak! scared
