Thanks Jimmyp

Jimmy,
It cost £450, which included labour and materials, all over mechanical polishing and some special treatment on the wings. Engine bay was also cleaned. 16 hours work / one guy (Ash Newport). I will PM the details but guess he's too remote for you. Really happy with the attention to detail. Ash spent ages on the back of the car until he was totally happy.

Thats quite a good price for all of that by a specialist.

I had a friend who bought one of the new DB11 and he went through the same do I protect it loop. AM offered him a "factory applied" cover for a mere £3000. He searched around and got an offer of £900 to have the car transported direct from the factory to the workshop then transported to him. This included 3M protection film on the nose, mirrors and rear arches as well as a Gtech like paint nano cover.

Work, materials, transport and VAT.

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

It does look very good, Milt.

What is the considered opinion on the Ceramic Coating malarky..? Is it a new 'snake oil' or something genuinely helpful in the car shine stakes..?

From what I have read - and experienced - the car dealer "sealers" are a bit of a sting!!to say the least.

BUT the Ceramics are just that and well worth a dekko IMO.

As usual it just depends on who is applying it and their level of skill/commitment to the job!!

Prices also seem to vary and are highly negotiable!!
