I can remember, was it at Stelvio? Yes the Classics are a good choice too. I drove Stelvio one year later with the Vredesteins - in wet conditions and everything was OK.

My experience of Continental tyres are that they seem to go hard quicker than other makes and lose pattern early effecting grip. Certainly would change after 5 years.

I had Contis on my 4/4 Sport and when it was just 3 years old the back end kicked out whilst turning right at traffic lights on a slightly greasy wet road and I wasn't going at any great speed either. It was a lesson learnt and had I kept the car much longer I would have changed them to Vredesteins as everybody who has used them on a 4/4 seems to rate them very highly.
