As an ex-R65 then R100RT (A reg) owner I've always quite fancied an early'ish R80GS. Prices seem silly now though...

Nice Keith.
My only worry with not having one pot stuck out each side, which I'm convinced have saved ankle/lower leg in the past, I feel vulnerable...
While I only had the R65 for a couple of years, the R100RT was with me for 16 years. Should never have sold it.

Never owned a Guzzi...
Not for lack of looking 10 or so years ago.

I had a Guzzi Le Mans Mk2 a few years back. loved it except for the chronic wrist ache got from the long seat to bars. Beautiful ride otherwise.

BMW flat twin = erectile dysfunction
Guzzi V Twin = can't get it all the way up
Triumph Parallel Twin = triumphantly erect!

I agree Steve. As you know I'm getting rid of my GS after many years of Boxers and particularly GS's. I've had every model apart from the Adventure which I find too tall and heavy. They've been great bikes and really set the trend for big enduros. But the latest fly by wire, liquid cooled Boxers have lost all their character in my view. And I'm tired of the weight and height of them...the seat height increases with each iteration.

This is a Triumphantly Erect LEFT FIELD ALTERNATIVE

I'm going to try it, along with the Thruxton R, next Wednesday.
A report to follow.
