Dealer did it for free because I ordered mine before they announced the change. But I suspect that there will be a charge for new builds.

Well, I didn't do it myself, but that's what the dealer told me. They gave me all the removed parts reportedly, which included the one bracket - period. If there had been a replacement harness, they would have given me that also in the event I ever wanted to convert it back. So that's what I'm going on...

Since only the US cars are affected, and not the rest of the world, I cant see them having multiple wiring harnesses.

mmm, dealer says lots of tricky electrical work, never the less, I pushed back on price given experiences of other recent buyers, can't pay that and to improve customer service agreed to drop price from $1,311 to $500 ... works for me.

result yes ... but quite honestly, considering this change occurred 5 months after I ordered our M3W ... while the US dealers were equally caught out by the change, for those of us who ordered the old config (pre 22nd Feb 2017 notification), imho it's not the US dealer's fault but not mine either, so only fair to convert back to what we ordered without a profit mark-up

What I was told by my dealer, was for those of us who ordered in the original config, it would be converted no-charge. Not sure who paid for the convert-back, but I didn't.
