Good result in the end. thumbs

Morgan are different to mainstream car makers. There is a feeling of closer contact with the Company themselves. I suspect this can encourage people to go direct.
As with any purchase the first port of call and responsibility is with the dealer the car was bought from (Sale of Goods Act etc).
The dealer has responsibility for putting faults right where they are appropriate.
Failure to do this means there is a well defined process with legal responsibilities.
I had similar when buying a second hand car for sospan jnr. Repeated failure to resolve issues and poor customer service meant rejecting the car. That proved sufficient to resolve without going to the next step of the legal route. The advice is to be firm and clear with the dealer, set timescales for resolution. Keep a log of contact/comments. Tell the dealer that a final chance to resolve is being made, after which escalation will occur. This can be in two ways.
1. Contact the manufacturer with details of the fault and the dealer's failure to rectify.
2. Legal action re recovery of money+costs. This is against the dealer.
Points to note based on advice from experts like Which etc.......
Keep communications concise, clear and non abusive.
Keep records.
Ask pertinent questions re what dealer has done/contacted re solving the problems. Ask for details of any contact with Manufacturer.
This tends to get the message across that things must be dealt with properly.
Avoid rants on social media. Maybe ok for venting frustration but rarely productive.
Even here on TM.......there have been a few but thankfully less so now.

Good advice but we've heard numerous examples on TM where getting a response from the factory has proved challenging, to say the least.

Equally several issues have undoubtedly been resolved by the use of social media and specifically TM.

In the case of other marques I would follow a similar path to the one you've suggested. In the case of Morgan perhaps not.

My new roadster had to be recovered to my local dealer after one day of ownership. The delays to getting it sorted were solely down to the factory not replying to the dealer.

Fortunately it wasn't a major issue.

Social media in general, and TM in particular, has been very useful in sharing information with like-minded individuals.

I would go further and say that to some owners it's probably been invaluable.

In fairness, i have found the dealer being alluded to be very good, both himself and his staff being most helpful. (Much better than the dealer i bought my car from).
As others have said, a personal phone call to the man himself (provided he is there of course) may well have been the way forward, i cannot imagine him personally fobbing off or ignoring a 90k customer on the phone or in person, he does not ignore me and i only spend peanuts with him.
Just my honest experience…..

Ps, i have been ignored by the factory when emailing.

I am reading this and find it inaccurate & damaging to our reputation in the extreme. The gentleman in question has been a long standing customer of ours (since 1991) and always receives the very best of attention, as in-fact all our customers have done over the last 41 years I have been in the Morgan business.
He sent us only one recorded delivery letter advising us of these problems and within 10 minutes of receipt I had phoned Morgan rescue to organise a vehicle recovery and replied to him by email, copying in the factory, who did reply, but to his original email address. Unfortunately he has literally just changed his email address and so the email never reached him from us or the positive response from the factory.
Having discovered this, I phoned him, provided a telephone number of Morgan rescue who were waiting for the call to arrange pickup and the car was duly delivered here within 3 hours for our chief technician to start work on it.
I would suggest that before posting any inflammatory remarks, about us and the Morgan factory, the full & accurate facts be known. The Morgan Dealer in Little Hallingbury
