The rotary fan switch on my 2012 4/4 Sport failed. It in fact separated and simply needs putting back together. The trouble is the gubbins fell out and I have no idea where all the bits go.
I fear I need a new switch but it's soldered to the module. It would be easier if there was a connector to assist replacement.
'Time to ring the factory I thought. I was put through to Dave on the shop floor who builds the dashboards up and knew exactly where I was at and what options I have to fix it.
Basically new switch or mix and match if I'm feeling lucky.
You won't get this sort of service with BMW!
Footnote.
My pal said a switch in a BMW wouldn't break!

I bad the same problem and my local Morgan dealer exchanged the dashboard platine....
Better call the factory!

It must be nice to have them so close to you. The closest servicing dealer that will return phones call is almost 900 miles away.

The closest that I'll go to is in Kent - another country in fact Try Henry at Berrybrook (Henry is a member of TM) Not only will he return your call, but I'm sure he wouldn't mind the odd trip to South West France.

BMW wouldn't know who put the switch in the dashboard.

Meabh.... out of interest have you tried Berigaud Vehicules Anciens in St Junien near Limoges? Its quite near our French house and has a nice range of classic cars.. but also displays a Morgan sign on the outside. Ive not had a chance yet to go round there (I'm usually in St Junien to go to Mr Bricolage.....) but thought I might when we go down in the Mog for Angouleme in September

Giles, At 120 euros an hour I would rater they didn't but I have to say that Chris Hatton is very helpful.
