Reading the aim to end sales of fossil fuel cars in France makes me hope my Roadster can be converted

I'm sure there will be a way of keeping the classics running - maybe at a cost though spend laugh2

There will always be people wanting old technology.

I don't expect to suffer from this trend in the time I have left.......

With that and the Volvo decision, will we see the Plus E come to life?

I'm wondering how long it will take for an electric car to have 300 mile range , and not weigh like lead !

It has been done already. The 1958 Arbel Symetric needed a battery change every fifth year. No charging and no range anxiety!

As it is "expert journalists" that are misquoting badly worded press releases from car manufactuerers, I believe that unless you are in a built up area there will not be that much of a problem and to be honest it is difficult to drive and park in large cities already and will get worse well before high levels of electic cars are about.

You also think people that arrive at 8:00 am and plug in at a fast charger will come back to the car at 11:00am to move it to a non electric charging parking space that is already full in busy cities to let other electric car users use that charging space.

In your dreams it will stay there all day.

This is already there in one way.
People park petrol cars in charging bays blocking them off. It has caused arguments in motorway service areas. These days attitudes have become selfish, parking in inappropriate places/ways is on the up.
