Ah yes, the only supermarket where you can be looking at the fresh veg, turn around...
..and there it is: a giant of a workshop compressor. Why?
They have realised that it gets the men in the store and lets face it we buy all the extras that the ladies don't, they always stay on list unlike the boys. They are very good at what they do and both the German stores are growing market share and store numbers in UK faster than anyone else. Umm, actually we're the other way around -  spends ages trawling the shelves. I have a list which is stuck to, rarely buying anything not on the list, spending minimal time in store...

Umm, actually we're the other way around - spends ages trawling the shelves. I have a list which is stuck to, rarely buying anything not on the list, spending minimal time in store... And us, Graham. Jane gets quite grumpy with me when I only buy what's on the list. Apparently the shopping list is to be treated a source of inspiration, not a constraint as to what is to be purchased.

A new Aldi has opebed very close to us... I must say, i very impressed!! We have been shopping there for a few weeks now and definitely saving money over our Sainsburys shop, and i would say, for 90% of stuff the quality/taste is very good!! How sensible i am these days!!  I've only just picked up on your post Henry.  Please don't become too sensible, life's too short. Or as some might say; "To infinity and beyond"
