The radiator grill isn't exactly a complex part, but the curve is. So it would probably need a spare grill to be used as a donor/template

The extensions to the cowl could be added to the ends of the stainless band at the bottom of the grill.

More to think about, but a winter project I think.

Peter, the painting needn't be "very expensive". A mate had a panel sprayed by Chipsaway. He has an MX5. The panel was between boot and roof. Mazda dealers couldn't get the colour right but Chipsaway got it perfect. They did 3 test pieces of shades and their original was perfect. Cost was just over £100 which is great value compared to bodyshops and was done "while you wait" not a 2 day process. My mate was well impressed and he is very fastidious.

Actually Callum that's not bad looking. At least on somebody else's Morgan.

It might be my O.C.D. kicking in but I think the original set up is great. Perfectly 'in balance'.

If it ain't broke...

Yes I'm with Nev on this one except I'd ditch the badges and bar it's all in perfect symmetry then.

I personally dislike the wing mounted plate. It's sort of pseudo racer.

I'm with you John.

I can just imagine the discussion about the new variant: we have flat rad, cowled, short door, long door, and now long grill.

Yes, after all the reason that the racers slapped a stick-on numberplate on the wing was because they didn't give a toss what it looked like, but it had to go somewhere and they'd taken off all the bits like bumpers on which it would normally be mounted.
