On my 2009 4/4 Sport I installed the brake reaction stays from Mulfab.

At full steering lock the tire now touches these bars (stock 165/80) and leaves black rubber marks.

On other cars I have seen adjustable stops somewhere at the axle, but on the 4/4 it seems that the only limit is in the steering rack.

-> is there a way to limit the steering?

Wolfgang

Melvin Rutted sells steering lock stops. They are rollers which attach to the chassis.

Well, I checked it and must say that this is not really what I was looking for.

Instead of fixing a design flaw the problem is 'cured' by rollers attached to the frame? I am sure the german TÜV (MOT) will question this. Instead of installing such obvious hints that something is not perfect I better leave it as it is then. Once TÜV/MOT is due I'll clean the rubber marks on the stays and give it a try....

I've got the roller stops - but I still (just) catch the brake reaction bars at full lock (one side only) - I suspect my steering clamp is not centred, despite tracking etc. being OK.

Numog - please send me a PM about the rollers. I'm interested but you are over your PM limit!
