Yes, I know Morgan drivers should be guided by a trusty co-pilot with a decent map But on many occasions I travel alone and have finally decided that a sat nav is necessary at these times. So any recommendations please for ones that effectively stick to Morgan windscreens and can be heard above the wind noise? Thank you in advance. Paul

I've got a TomTom Via 62, which works well. One feature that I especially llke is the ability to plot a route on the PC and then download it so you follow the route you want rather than the one the SatNav thinks you should.

An alternative. I have a Garmin sat nav and indeed the Fezza had one built in but what I used on both bike and car was my phone running a free app called Here. But because I find peering at a screen a distraction I use blue tooth and get the instructions in my ear.. Its brilliant, and far better / safer than having a mini TV set fastened to your windscreen. Had a few dodgy moments fiddling with a screen based sat nav. Here One of those rare occasions when the best option costs far less than the second best option.

Write road/town/road/town etc onto some masking tape & stick on the header rail.
Foolproof..

Hi Steve, a man after my own heart! I currently use a stick-it note on the dashboard, however....
This works for direct motorway/A-road driving but fails absolutely through cities, towns etc. So would still like a bit of automated guidance.

I'm with the post it note camp plus a good map. By the time my Tom Tom knows where I live, I can be miles down the road. I think the skies above the Broads are a satellite free zone.
Here for a good time not a long time!! Reg

I recently bought a Garmin Nuvi 2448LMT-Digital and used it during a trip from Holland to Tuscany. It did quite well, solid and acurate and has all the maps from Western Europe with regular updates. However, I find TomTom more intuitive in use, but bought these Garmin so we can interchange it with my wife's Mini which has a dedicated Garmin mounting.

I have had Garmin for a while now after I got frustrated with TomToms ability to break things every update in the past.
I prefer a dedicated SatNav over using an app on a phone as they were designed to sit in a hot car window/dash arrear something I'd rather avoid with my phone.
