Phone Mike Duncan H.O.E. he fitted one on my 1986 CVH a few years ago it means an alteration to the chassis etc in the bottom corner drivers side to get the servo in. Its not cheap but what value do you place on life. Quick question guys - since I have to get a new master cylinder anyway, how complex and expensive would it be to add servo assistance?

Why would you need a servo though? If your braking system is in good condition though you shouldn't need one. All a servo will do is to decrease pedal effort not decrease stopping distances

Good job done . Your overheating has been lost in the attack - as suggested cures blocked radiator core, head gasket and bad temperature gauge I think were the suggested possibles.

All good suggestions. First I'd establish independently of the gauge whether it's actually overheating, and if not look at the instrument voltage regulator and then the gauge itself.
