I have a 30 year old 4/4 with rather tired and marked cream leather. The leather itself is in good condition.
I want to restore them easily.
Can I apply stain while I leave the seats, leather dashboard and door trim in the car?
If so which products does anyone recommend? Are they rub on or spray?

Have a look at the Gliptone website.
I have just purchased some scratch remover from them (250ml, for £16.50).
It can be brushed on or sprayed, and I believe that it can be used to restore seats.
The colour will be matched exactly for you.
Fortunately I only live 20 miles away so was able to drop off a headrest and leave it with them to match.

I have used products from a company called Furniture Clinic, you send an example of the colour you are trying to match and they mix a "paint" to match, you can then buy a kit to carry out the repair/ recolour of the leather, it contains cleaner, finish remover,leather seal and the finish of your choice, gloss/satin/matt it also comes with an airbrush gun and propellant.I have used this on many cars to restore the rubbed bolsters on seats and have had fantastic results, i think you can also have the repairs done by the company.

I have Furniture Clinic stuff too.
Colour matched from a small sample I sent them.
Videos on their website as instruction.
They sell a kit including an airbrush for spraying colour and sealant, cleaner, filler for scratches etc..
As with everything, take your time with the prep. Just like spraying paint.

Another vote for Gliptone.
One important point that they make, but I feel needs to be highlighted. The leather must be really clean, before using their stuff. With light coloured leather this is especially important.

First thing is to give all the Leather a really good clean .
I suggest you use a pro product ...not expensive ..but you will achieve a great result.
Try to avoid Lanoline based if you are going to re- colour ad it will create a barrier.
Have a look at Chemspec or Prochem.
