I've found it's utterly addictive buying jackets, gloves, goggles and the like.

Over the years I've acquired an Irvin for myself and one for my wife along with his and hers matching sheepskin flying helmets plus a leather flying helmet and a sheepskin millia helmet, all from Aviation Leathercraft at Thruxton. Excellent products and they'll last a lifetime and beyond ( my son already has his eye on my Irvin ). Oh and I have an A2 of theirs as well.

Along the way I've also picked up sheepskin gauntlets to stop those pesky draughts creeping up your sleeves that plain gloves just can't cope with, although I have some of those as well.

And last but not least, the ubiquitous Battle of Britain MK8 goggles from Halcyon.

Don't get me started on my Hedon helmet.

As I say it's almost as addictive as the M3W itself. I daren't contemplate the overall bill but as I say my "collection" has been built up over years.

All part of the fun I guess...
