on a modern soft top car there will be a mesh or perspex screen between the two roll hoops or head rests to minimise forward flowing draughts. Is there any equivalent offered for the trad or is that the reason for the flying jacket?

Serious question - on a Plus 8 I rode in recently there was a howling gale at 50 mph and even on a summer evening it was freezing.

I have a wind screen from Williams, it slots into two brackets so that it can be removed in seconds. Bought it primarily for SWMBO who loves it, I tend to remove it if I'm on my own though.

I also have the Williams wind screen ,it does cut down the draught and it is not expensive and is easy to fit .

I also have the Williams screen, was not sure how much difference it made so took it off on a warm day and both of us said we felt warmer with it off so it must have been letting in more air at the back so on a cold day will stop the cold air coming in. The only problem I had was the side brackets stopped the tool tray cover from being removed so had to make so modifications to that.

I've passengered in a car with one of these and I couldn't tell the difference between my unadorned one and this and it all looks a bit cluttered to me.

I have one fitted for the other half not sure it looks the part !
Took it off for the Cocker spaniel to travel behind the seats never refitted it and no difference!
So it is staying off now.

I have one that came with my car. Previoys owner had it fitted. (Richard Thorne I think fitted). It came off when I had the rollbar fitted as brackets were in the way. I have not fiddled with it to refit as not easy due to rollbar(Librands). It did reduce wind a bit when tried but not hugely succesful. The airflow seemed to come down in front of it after looping over from the windscreen.
Maybe a wrapover type on the rollbar would help. A bit like a smal "shelf" to catch the downdraught and a rear drop down behind the Rollbar, forming a type of targa effect.
Got me thinking now.

Were the side screens fitted ? This makes a massive difference if it's a bit nippy.

My perspex wind stop makes a difference. We always have sidescreens on.
