Hi everyone - great to own a Morgan again after a break of 30 years having just acquired a 1976 4/4 1600 4 str. that's been off the road almost as long! It runs fine but needs a bit of mechanical work - the steering is a bit stiff and I need to overhaul the brakes etc. So I hope to find advice and help on this forum.
My previous Morgan's were a 1952 flat rad +4 4 str. which I sold to an American called Morton in 1967. After that a 1960 +4 4 str. (807 COF) which had originally been exported to Singapore but I found in a barn in Norfolk in 1967. I sold that in 1974 as I needed a deposit for my first house. But I ordered a new 4/4 4 str. at the same time and that arrived in Nov. 1976 (YFC 749R) and was sold in 1988 as I was moving abroad to Norway and could only import one car.

I was moving abroad to Norway and could only import one car. You missed a great opportunity to drive a Morgan in some the best scenery on the planet. Great Morgan driving roads (at least as soon as the ice melts) BTW Welcome to this group and ask away about anything you need for the restoration. Take it slowly and methodically, and it will back in the road in fine fettle very soon.
