Most are staying overnight here. During today it's Glider airfield at Sutton Bank, followed by visit to highest pub in Yorkshire, The Lion.

We came down last night in the tin top ( loads of police on the A19 with cameras in vans both sides, going to pick my old friend and his wife up from Stillington just round the corner from you ( 1957 4/4 ) put he had to go to hospital and got no reply to phone calls .
Looked about the 16 3 wheeler's and the 1 +8 . Went for a j20 in the bar as everyone was eating . We got into a deep chat with a couple from Cambridge and before long it was time to go home only an hour away .
One thing the lady said was they paid 89/- for 2 nights B&B . Chris told me it was 120/- per night .

That's just down the road from me. If you need any pub recommendations then

http://thefairfaxarms.co.uk/

is lovely and a cracking drive, about miles (of fantastic roads) north through Stillington.

I will be going on a farewell tour of the Dales tonight as the +8 is up for sale frown

The Lion Inn at Blakey Ridge. We visited there this afternoon for a drink and late lunch, departing around 1530. Even the Chummy made it. What a great place, Old Peculier on draught and excellent food service despite being very busy. Shame I was driving frown

A FANTASTIC Time was had by all

Great Drives, Great Hotel, Excellent Food and Good Company, all thanks in the main to the phenomenal efforts of Ian and Maria Parkinson for sorting out the venue and exploring the area to find some nice remote roads and places to visit.

This one will be "A Hard Act To Follow".

Regards to all

I wish you'd said it was rubbish so that I didn't feel so bad about missing it! envy
