A Walker St Clair cover came with my Roadster and has been very good. I've reproofed it once in nine years. Its smaller packed and lighter material, and is slightly quicker to deploy. For comparison purposes here is one at the same location as the first picture above.

Does anyone have the Walker St Clair cockpit cover - advertised in Miscellany. I note this is cheaper than the John Taylor version and wonder how this compares to this and the others mentioned? I have one in good condition. Gave up on it as it was never waterproof - even when new and the fit is flappy.

Agree Walker St Clair never waterproof from new and too short to cover whole of windscreen. Supplier/manufacturer admitted that dimensions have reduced due to supply of correct material width...waste of money in my opinion!!!!.

Probably a stupid question, I haven't got my Morgan yet, but why would one need a storm cover if you have a hood? Just for the rain ingress in the louvres?
No doubt, I will find out. Just wondering.

No doubt, I will find out. Just wondering. The long cover will stop the water ingress, but even a short cover will keep bird lime and tree sap off the hood when parked. Both are a challenge to remove. Also, there is added security, by making the contents of the car less obvious.

No doubt, I will find out. Just wondering. I use mine instead of putting the hood up when parked if it looks inclement - it's much easier Plus Morgan hoods are not designed to keep water out of the cockpit. 90 years of expert Morgan design and development has perfected the car hood that allows just enough water ingress to keep it interesting

Agree with Budster and Stewart.
The cover is v low cost and v v useful.
I keep mine tucked behind my seat - always ready to go! It takes about a minute to put up.
Highly Recommended.
Mine is a John Taylor. Cost £60.
