The Evo article on the Lotus Elise Eco vs the Morgan 4/4 Sport is interesting; however, I enjoyed the article on the Morgan Sport vs the Toyota Prius even more.

I wonder how the 4/4 would compare with the Prius if it also included ultimate disposal? Even better I assume - "old Morgans never die" versus getting rid of all those batteries...The article you have linked to really does emphasise the point that fuel consumption and engine performance are only part of the whole environmental impact issue.

If my memory serves me well it takes approximately 5 years for the negative impact of the production of the batteries to negate and the Prius to commence gaining eco credit.
