I have made a decision and placed a deposit on a new Plus4. I can't justify having both so 3W will be sorely missed.

Good for you. Like any relationship there'll be mixed feelings, but as one door shuts another opens etc. I still have some great memories of my M3W time, but it was the right decision for me. Mrs SBM & I have had a great weekend away in the Roadster and sat having a coffee watching the rain come down. Within half an hour, sun's out again and the roof's down. That's the benefit for me.. Plus 300bhp, of course..

Well, my M3W (Thumper) is being sold to a friend of 50 years - and I have just agreed to buy a 2000 4/4 four seater from Sailingtom. Pictures when I'm home. Hope to take it to Gaydon on 2nd September complete with Mrs W.

Some pictures of "Merlin"* (* why "Merlin"? It was the name of a horse I broke and schooled as a youngster; it's also a pretty impressive RR power plant). Tim
