Williams borrowed my 2009 Roadster to develop a remap three years ago by Monster I believe. It was dyno'd at 222 bhp......up from 204. That's with a pair of Melvyn Rutters sports silencers. It had only done 1500 miles so with it now loosened up I suspect that it is giving out a tad more. 3.7.. Need I say more.. 3.7 engine , yes more power indeed , BUT now you step right into another problem, the dreaded rev hanging. To the best of my knowledge there is no solution in sight at present. I understand that an "interface" needs to be produced and there is a minimum order of X (I heard 200) . (although I am sure this is possible given the number of cars that are suffering) MMC are not covering themselves in glory on this issue. My comment was meant to be a humorous poke at Jays. You may remember humour, it used to be on here quite often once upon a time..

Karsten. I just cannot post a photo at the moment but if you remove the grille you will clearly see that there is an upright piece of plastic just before the radiator. Remove part of it so that you can bring the flexible intake forward and over the rad. You might need to secure it with a cable tie. Mine was long enough to rest securely without a tie however I put an aluminium tube in the end to keep it open. As has been said, these three litre engines can deliver more than enough power for road use but this is a simple and cheap way to gain a bit more.

I was rather hoping someone did something like the Bluefin upgrade that you can plug in and revert back to original if you wanted.
the other issue for me is the gearbox ratios on the mark II (that uses the MT75). The gearing is so low that I dont need 1st gear most of the time. The earlier model wins on that score also !!!

Alan, that is why I pay the £500 road fund license for a S1.

I will follow your instruction and see how the difference will be

They give it a nice burble at tickover. Overall a bit deeper noise than the standard silencers and certainly a cheaper option than Librands etc. Whether or not they improve the performance it is hard to say but being straight throughs compared to the original baffled silencers they possibly do.

Alan. I have a 2010 Roadster Sport.which I bought last November from BHM. Apparently if you move the air intake from behind the rad and extend it over the rad ( look for a plastic upright lip and remove it ) you will gain 12bhp. I have this on good authority from one of our own and confirmed by BHM. My Sport is just beginning to free up now at approaching 10000 miles. Have a look at the end of this post: https://sites.google.com/site/morganatica/bodywork-and-chassis/aerodynamicsIt seems that the air stream bypasses the grille in its upper area.
