I use Tinypic for image hosting and it seems to be doing silly things at the moment with my stored images. Anyway, you get the drift.

Yesterday was the second anniversary of the day that I collected my 4/4, having sold my 3 Wheeler a few months previously.

I have no regrets. The 4/4 has delivered what I wanted - a sort of vintage driving experience combined with the reliability of modern components. There was a problem with the brakes (and I think that the MMC should fit a better master cylinder) but otherwise I have no complaints.

Whenever I was about to go for a drive in the M3W, I was reminded of getting on a horse or starting a motor race: several minutes of mild terror and then it was all right once one got going. Getting into the 4/4 and going for a drive is almost the same as it is with a normal car.

No, no regrets.

Well maybe a twinge when I watched the Pickersleigh 3 entourage drive past me on Saturday.

The pangs were there then!

But we are loving the 4/4 80

Mrs L loved it even more as drove home later that night all cosy with the luxury of a heater and heated seats!

So it's good bye to Thumper

And hello to Merlin

I knew it would be a precision fit in the garage:

Look forward to meeting up with some of you at Gaydon tomorrow & picking brains.

There was something living between the rear seats in an earlier pic , is it still there?

I'll check. It was a very last minute hand over yesterday afternoon, via KH, from Tom.
