I had the Williams rear wind stop on the Roadster.

It worked really well and SWMBO loved it ...result!

No such luxury on the 4/4 tho!

Were the side screens fitted ? This makes a massive difference if it's a bit nippy.

I've fitted a perspex screen on our +4 today. I've used the bolts of the seatbelts to secure it so the seats can be operated seperately. Had some trouble cutting it though. I did cut it with a jigsaw with special blade but behind the blade everything melted back together. The brackets are made of 30 x 5 mm stainless steel (I think I will paint them black) and I 've used SS bolts and washers.

I can testify that they work on my 96 Plus 8. I bought a black mesh one for MIni Coopers. Size is perfect. Windows on, deflector up on a motorway makes quite a difference.

The airflow seemed to come down in front of it after looping over from the windscreen.
Maybe a wrapover type on the rollbar would help. A bit like a smal "shelf" to catch the downdraught and a rear drop down behind the Rollbar, forming a type of targa effect.
Got me thinking now.

On the Plus 8 the wind in the cockpit comes from behind, on a damp road moisture and road crud end up on the interior mirror, the inside of the windscreen and the dashboard.

The amount is enough to make it impossible to drive hood down in the wet, even if the pilot is not wet, because I can't see through the filth on the inside of the screen.

A solution is needed!
I'm thinking of using the roll bar as a mount and cutting a Lexan sheet to fit onto the back face of it, using small riv-nuts and let into the roll bar and thumb screws.
Possibly a metal strip on the lower edge to make sure it cannot bend.
A quick web search suggests in 8mm polycarbonate about £60, half the price in 8mm Perspex. I think this is looking viable!
