I would quite like an early Timex, since these were made entirely in Scotland. I purposely don't buy Timex because of the way the company treated their staff.

Oh we love a good wrist watch thread
The last one has registered over 50,000 views Since this topic comes up in a new thread about every six months we must be way way over that in total views of threads that involve watches. I must admit that many of the replies could be cut and pasted from the previous threads. Nearly all are variations of; "the best watch is (insert here my favourite watch)", "I have (insert here a list of watches)", or "I don't wear a watch because (I'm retired, don't like watches, have a smart phone, etc.)". If I think about it it's starting to get

Good fakes in Vietnam who would know except the wearer !

There are watch lovers, and those who are indifferent. There are watch collectors, and those who collect other stuff. That's OK........................... Just don't be late, whatever you chose. I have one Rolex story. My mother was burgled many years ago while she was in the garden, leaving the side door unlocked. On the dressing table was all her jewellery, an ordinary gold watch, and a Rolex from the late fifties. The thieves took everything except the Rolex.
