Thanks to all for the feedback. Pulled the generator and awaiting an Alternator from Morgan Spares of New England along with a rebuilt VR....best wishes to you all and thanks for the assistance. Long past worrying about originality, my interest is in driving her. I hope You also ordered the Mount for the alternator. The Morgan Spares mount does the job. You can also order the 1/2" belt conversion kit. I just kept the original generator pulley and had it drilled to fit the alternator and used the orig. TR belt. Warning this belt is I think 11/16" wide so a 3/4" pulley will work but not as it should.
