As they say in Napoli “Ogni scarrafone è bello a mamma soja”. Every black beetle is beautiful in the eyes of his mother.

My sidescreens flap. I explain to everyone that it is quite 'normal'. I've got used to it, as you do. However, Glenn, don't despair; I can show you my patent poverty solution. This not only had the effect of reducing the flapping, but also reduced draughts. Remind me on Saturday. I doubt it will be by tying string to the door handles...

The short-door car side screens are even flappier than the later ones, but there are some quite nice steady braces available from Librands which go inside the doors and provide a bit of triangulation.
They work pretty well, I fitted a set back in the winter and they certainly improve matters.
For the long-door cars I think the later rubber windscreen seals are probably better, always assuming one's side screens have been properly constructed to fit into them...

Funny to see my car on talkmorg ,glad you like the colour Ae60mog Jimmy, I love that colour. As we walked into the area it didn't just catch my eye, it stopped me in my tracks. I just stood and stared for 30 seconds - rabbit in headlights syndrome! So much so that I nearly forgot to Hopefully meet you on Friday or Saturday?

Thats it Graham - we call it the zombie. We watch them occurring when people see the Coupe. They zone out for a moment and you see the eye's glaze over a bit.
Damn these cars are pretty.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

Hey all,
Thanks for the responses. A little "thread drift" but all good fun :-)
I think it was Shooter mentioned he still uses his old Aero cover on the S5. I have a new one for the S5 which solves the door handle issue. It is very good. A chap called John Taylor makes them. If you want his email address PM me.
Personally, I hate the S5 hood. It is totally impractical for the British climate, a very poor design. However, I could live with it if the rear wheels were centred. The original advert/picture of the S5 showed them centred. I would have noticed were they not (It's a thing with me!!) - that picture was what I bought, but not what I got!
I hear all the positivity about what MMC achieve. However it almost suggests making allowances. I disagree. If the argument is that if you want a car that looks like the advert, every time, buy an automated production line vehicle, then in effect what is being said is if you buy a Morgan it's pot luck whether you get what you thought you were buying from MMC - I don't buy that. I saw a picture in an advert, I liked the picture and I paid for one of those - not one with off centred wheels!!
On the bright side - the sun shone yesterday, so I took the S5 out for a drive......brilliant. Shame I have to get out of it, look back and see those rear wheels....it makes my heart sink every time.
Rob Good things come to those who wait but they've usually been left by those who got there first!
