I have already been in contact with the dealership, and offered it to them at an extremely low price, but they didn't want to buy it outright and their commission for listing it for sale was rather high.

They are not a large operation and I assume that they would make more money per effort involved selling on commission over fronting a decent chunk of change and sitting on it till it sells.

I have had a fair amount of interest in it from Hemmings, but autumn is just about here and I would like to get this sold before it is over and test drives become impossible during the winter months.

Selling a bike or fun car in autumn is no good idea.
You will not earn a good price.
Better sell in spring when the sun gets warm after a long and cold winter.!
