Another day another challenge from the Plus 4. Lost the dash electrics... so no speedo or lights on the switches. Nor any fan... and ig was hotmwithbthe hood up (I could see I was going to get wet on the way home otherwise.
The dash fuse has gone... easily replaced. I'm going to pull the dash again beforen I switch on just to make sure there's nothing obviously shorting. Haven't checked the fan fuse yet either.
But before I go into diagnosis mode, any common problems I shojld be aware of please? Its a 2012 model btw.
Thanks Nick

Only that according to expert opinion, some of the fuses are marginal for the load. If it's a 15A and it blows again without an obvious cause, I would try a 20A. Just be careful!

Its 5a... I was thinking of going to 7.5 if necessary... But as I qualified many many years ago as an electronics engineer it goes against the grain!

The circuit board behind the switch panel is notorious for burning out. I had 4 replacments before it was eliminated with hard wired circuits and relays.

Similar thing happened to me.
Was traced to bad connections on both sides of the under dash fusebox, easily fixed but a bit of a squeeze to get access to it.
Hope it is not the PCB that has developed a problem as they are very expensive.

I had something similar which eventually traced to a loose multi plug,it maybe worth checking the dash plug and if it's happened in adverse weather conditions -water ingress

Oh dear. It was dry at the time, so not a water issue. Should get time tonight to investigate.
Thanks folks

Impatience got the better of me.... had acquick try with a new fuse. It works unless I put the faster stage of fan on when the fuse goes. So dash off tonight.... I am assuming the fan switch operates a relay for the fan so the 2nd speed should not be more load. But being a Morgan that logic may not hold!

And the GoMog wiring diagrams (2004 is the latest) show a single speed fan so it's really back to basics on fault finding... :-(

My Roadster from 2005 has a single speed fan. I think it changed sometime in 2005 to a two speed.
