The rack is stainless. All racks are stainless which is why you pay more for the black as it has been powder coated.

 rack 1 by Jeff Inge, on Flickr  rack 2 by Jeff Inge, on Flickr My small solution to carry extra duffle bags. Racks easily removed with clevis pins to allow boot access. I just can't get my head around that big suction cup on the boot for the factory rack.

 consol by Jeff Inge, on Flickr My console bin made from a bin obtained at the local parts store. Pop riveted a couple pieces of aluminum to it to make it fit.
