I know I have the advantage of a boot but I'm not sure I've got room for an oven..

Cracking day at the museum earlier today, just what TM is all about really. Lots of fun, chatting and cars in short. Lovely to meet some people who are behind the names on here and catch up with others, and all under a sunny and warm sky.

Lovely..!

The Jaguars were out in force and had arranged a breakfast meet (I think they might be regulars) but the plethora of new F-Types and rorty exhausts was a little wearing although there were some cracking older Jags amongst them all. They had all parked on the grass out the front of the museum, but our TM heroes with the flag and sign (Thanks Glenn & Neil..) were like ferrets up a drain and we all enjoyed grass under our wheels.

The numbers made a group discount possible, and saved about a fiver each so thanks to Steve T for getting it all sorted. I cheated even more and produced my receipt from last November when I met Jays & Gambalunga over there, meaning I got in for nowt..

There were several new cars in and around the place and if you've not been before, some of them are well worth some second and third glances. I have a penchant for 1960's Jags and looking around the C & D types brings a whole new appreciation for Lowebird Reg's new car. You're a lucky lad, Reg.

Many coffee's later, we stood chatting in the sun, watching the new sport of Hood Raising and Lowering. Great to see Tim W's new car too..

Let's see some pics:

Wolfman Cain was there and took Andy the MoT out for a little umm, bimble, as a demo of the Cafe Racer and it's upgrades..

I think he was still smiling when they got back..!!

Hamwich Tim was comparing the early Pedelec bikes:

And let's be honest, who hasn't needed a pair of these at times..

And speaking of new inventions, the patented TM sunvisor 'anti-dazzle' screen was tried out by Neil..

Roof lowering & raising was proceeding with much pace by now..

Eventually, someone said 'Cheese' and the job was done..

Overall, a really great day. I know several others pitched up and disappeared before my camera came out so if I didn't see you this time, we'll catch up soon. You know who you are, Peter..

Brilliant day.

thumbs
