If you could see the condition of the front one (which sheared) you might consider the same John smile
The mounting plates/brackets are already stainless - wonder if replaced by a previous owner, I doubt they were factory fit (but I could be wrong)...

Hi

My silencer front U clamp is in a sorry state and needs replacement.

Likewise the clamp on the cat. The rear clamp on the silencer is not too bad but will be changed too.

What I need are the dimensions! I will assume the silencer clamps are the same but is the cat clamp too?

I will order stainless but need the sizes if anyone can help? OP if he's reading this.

Seems insane that Morgan do not used quality clamps for a few quid more...

I can't check at the moment but 54mm has a familiar ring. U clamps are usually stamped with the size.

Last year I had to replace 2u-clamps on the front mounts of the main silencers. Bought plain ones from Halfords as a quick/temp finish. Smeared some copper grease on them it resists heat up to a point. They are still good after 7k miles.
Further forward on the system the flange joints are badly corroded so will soon need replacement. Finding replacements will be a soon to ge done search. The system itself is stainless(manifolds are cast originals and in good nick) so mild steel fittings seems a bad bit of penny pinching. So far the flanges I have seen may not suit as they need to slip over the cat/downpipe flared ends before bolting up. It looks like they are fitted before the pipe ends are flared/forned. I will search for split flanges
