My S3 wheels are nicely centred. Could the issue be exacerbated by ride height? S1s were lower than later models and look the best in this regard.
I'm keeping my S3 - overall I think it's the best overall Aero package... Having previously owned an S3, I'm with you on that one.

Idly looking through the adverts for Plus 4s after reading this thread, I was struck by how many cars didnt have the rear wheels central to the rear mudguards. Indeed it seems to be the norm - the unusual cars are the ones that are central.

It's an accepted "norm" that ALL trads of a certain era have off centre rear wheels.
I'm sure there was an explanation of this many moons ago - something was altered (possibly the rear axle location??) and Morgan didn't deem it worthwhile to re-align the body accordingly.
The Aero cars are more of a mystery .....

It really isn't a big deal on the Trads. My Roadster has this feature. The axle was relocated rearwards in 2006. I have the Mulfab adaptor plates to resolve the alignment but haven't bothered fitting them.

The axle was the same. BTR. The change was effected by moving the leaf spring centre bolt back slightly. Or possibly repositioning the axle brackets. There's no obvious reason why.It may just gave been cosmetic.
